For parents

A copilot you can explain — without companion-chat risk.

Emily is a first-year copilot: sourced campus or silence, study help that will not write the lab, tools that fire. Published policies, student-controlled data, and rules you can read before your student opens the bot.

Why Emily is different

Narrow purpose

First-year copilot — campus, study, day tools. Not open-ended chat, not a personal agent, not a homework mill.

Clear boundaries

Romantic, explicit, and manipulation attempts are blocked — multiple safety checks.

Transparent data

Students can list, export, and delete what Emily remembers. Full wipe may require a forget PIN you set. Google Drive can auto-sync chats and notes when connected; full ZIP export covers memory and quiz progress — see Backups & exports.

No routine surveillance

Ordinary moderation blocks are not texted to you. Crisis paths are separate and defined.

What Emily is

  • ✓ Hints, quizzes, and proofreading — not finished homework
  • ✓ Campus info and memory the student controls
  • ✓ Focused replies and limits on very long chats
  • ✓ Appeal path when a school topic was blocked by mistake
  • ✓ Export, forget, and private mode in chat — forget PIN optional for parents

What Emily is not

  • ✕ Romantic or explicit roleplay
  • ✕ Ghostwritten essays or homework
  • ✕ Parent surveillance of every message
  • ✕ Unbounded companion chat
